About
“The breadth of coverage is what stands out on Just Football, from Barnet to the Apertura.” -The Guardian
“There’s a whole world out there…” -The Streets
Hi there. My name is Jonathan and I am the creator and editor-in-chief of Just Football. Chances are if you have found your way onto this page you would like to know a bit more about this here site. So without further ado, let’s get started:
What is Just-Football.com?
Just Football is a UK-based independent football blog with readers in 207 countries (and counting). Created in November 2007, making us one of the longest running and most well-respected football blogs out there, Just Football has been linked to and recommended by several major publications including the BBC, Reuters, The Guardian, The Washington Post, When Saturday Comes and FourFourTwo.
Regularly ranked as one of the best football blogs in the UK, in 2010 Just Football was nominated Best UK Football Blog by the FA, England’s Football Association. Of 7 nominated we finished 3rd in the vote.
Most recently we were also named in The Guardian’s 100 Football Blogs to follow in 2011.
Our aim is to provide an analytical look at world football – the game, the culture, the spectacle and the passion. Just Football is a site that brings you commentary, news, analysis and opinion on issues around the football world – from Argentina to Zambia, from Alan Shearer to Zico.
We try to look at the game from as wide a perspective as possible and analyse this great sport with a degree of reason and balance we feel is not always to be found in the sometimes over-reactionary, Hollywood headline-seeking era of the modern game.
Finally, and importantly, Just-Football.com is a forum aimed at bringing together all those who love the game of football, and with that we encourage you to share your views, express your opinions and contribute to the debate.
