“The breadth of coverage is what stands out on Just Football, from Barnet to the Apertura.” -The Guardian
“There’s a whole world out there…” -The Streets
“C’est cool” -Abdoulaye Doucoure, Stade Rennais footballer, France U21 international
Hi there. My name is Jonathan Fadugba and I am the creator and editor-in-chief of Just Football. Chances are if you have found your way onto this page you would like to know a bit more about this here site. So without further ado, let’s get started:
What is Just-Football.com?
Just Football is a UK-based independent football blog with readers in 207 countries (and counting). Created in November 2007, making us one of the longest running and most well-respected football blogs out there, Just Football has been linked to and recommended by several major publications including the BBC, Reuters, The Guardian, The Washington Post, When Saturday Comes and FourFourTwo, and is an established, UEFA-accredited website.
Regularly ranked as one of the best football blogs in the UK, in 2010 Just Football was nominated Best UK Football Blog by the FA, England’s Football Association. Of 7 nominated we finished 3rd in the vote.
In 2011 we were named in The Guardian’s 100 Football Blogs to follow (see above quote). More recently, in January 2015 we were named the third best football blog in the UK by Cision, the multi-awarding global PR software firm, and named among the best football blogs in 2015 by Left Wing Soccer:
Our aim is to provide an analytical look at world football – the game, the culture, the spectacle and the passion. Just Football is a site that brings you commentary, news, analysis and opinion on issues around the football world – from Albania to Zambia, from Aguero to Zico.
We try to look at the game from as wide a perspective as possible and analyse this great sport with a degree of reason and balance we feel is not always to be found in the sometimes over-reactionary, Hollywood headline-seeking era of the modern game.
In practical terms, on Just Football you will predominantly find longform, analytical articles looking at any and every aspect of the football world, both contemporary, past and future. These longer pieces are interspersed with healthy doses of the latest and best in football culture – from tifos to new kits and boots to supporter-created videos and the occasional golazos that need to be shared.
We have a thriving community at Just Football: a Twitter following with over 19,000 followers, a verified Google+ page with 23,000 fans and a Facebook page with 2,500+ likes. Such a following makes us an attractive proposition for advertisers, though everything we do is with our readers and supporters’ best interests in mind.
Put simply, and importantly, Just-Football.com is a forum aimed at bringing together all those who love the game of football. With that, we encourage you to share your views, express your opinions and contribute to the debate.
How do I contribute?

How do I advertise?
We offer a variety of sponsorship and advertising packages on Just Football, but we are selective and only work with the brightest and best – those who fit our ethos and values and are of real interest to our community. We are creative and full of ideas, a vibrant place for any advertiser who wishes to do things differently and connect creatively.
