African Cup of Nations 2012: New Cote d’Ivoire Home Kit
More from PUMA’s African football 2012 kit launch now on Just Football, with a look at the new Côte d’Ivoire home kit. Undoubtedly one of the favourites for the African Cup of Nations 2012 in a few months time considering the absence of other big names such as Nigeria, Cameroon and Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire will be hoping this will be the kit that sees the Elephants finally cement their as yet unsecured position as one of Africa’s best international sides of the last decade.
The shirt graphic is designed by CAN artist Ernest Dükü. He was inspired by the elephant as it is symbolic of both the Ivory Coast and its national football team. The continuous trunk of the elephant represents the love of football that is never ending for the Ivory Coast. But will Drogba and co be successful in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon wearing this new kit? Comments and thoughts on PUMA’s new kit here welcome below.
