Weekend Six Pack – Bolton, Brisbane and the Britannia are A rated
Each week Rob Hartnett from 188BET.com will bring you six of the best football betting opportunities from the weekend action. Rob is the public face of leading the leading In Play betting specialists and appears regularly on the Bolton, Wigan, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Everton websites doing betting previews.
We enjoyed another nice profit last week from Bolton, West Ham and Liverpool returning a 21 per cent gain. We were a shade unlucky not to get more from Blackburn though those who had taken 2.25 about them winning or drawing could have backed Fulham In Play at odds of 5.00 to lock in a profit there as well.
This weekend we focus primarily on the FA Cup but also take in the big Rome derby on Saturday night and travel down under for the biggest game of the season in Australia, a game you can see live on Sky Sports at 6am on Sunday morning.
All the odds quoted are available at time of writing on the In Play specialists, 188BET
March 12th-13th
Bolton to beat Birmingham @ 2.50
Bolton have only lost two of the twenty games they have played this season against teams below them in the Premier League. Birmingham’s record at home to the same group is a less impressive won three, drawn three, lost three. Five wins from their last seven indicates a team brimming with confidence.
Man United to beat Arsenal @ 2.02
United have won eight straight at home, and five of their last six meetings with Arsenal. The Gunners are reeling after three major reverses against Birmingham, Sunderland and Barcelona and with Vidic returning from suspension to shore up the defence a home win could be a lot shorter.
Brisbane Roar (-1) to beat Central Coast Mariners @ 2.28
The showpiece event in Australian soccer and this should see the coronation of a Brisbane side that have dominated all year. Unbeaten in their last 27 games and having suffered only one reverse all season. The sides have met five times in the current campaign with Brisbane outscoring their nearest challengers 14-6. The Mariners are likely to be without danger man Patricio Perez.
Lazio to beat Roma (Draw no bet) @ 2.38
Roma were torn apart by Shaktar Donetsk on Tuesday night and have won only two of their last nine games. Lazio have only lost one in their last seven and have had the week to prepare for this meeting of two great rivals. Roma have won the last four meetings but on this occasion the Eagles can swoop on the Wolves.
Stoke to beat West Ham @ 2.16
Last week we suggested West Ham to win in the League and so it came to pass. This week we are flipping to support Stoke. Their home and away form is as divergent as any in the League with four wins and two draws from six at home in 2011, scoring twelve, versus four straight defeats without a goal away. West Ham are in good form and while this is a tight call, it just goes to Stoke who I think should be closer to evens.
Man City Vs Reading + 3 goals @ 2.25
Reading are no pushovers. They are unbeaten in six and have scored in 13 of their last 14 away games. City will be deflated after a long unproductive journey to Kiev on Thursday night while Reading had a much more pleasant trip back from a 3-1 away win at Ipswich 48 hours earlier. Long and Hunt have shared 11 goals since the start of February and while victory may be beyond them, they will give a good account. A 2-2 draw is tempting at 19.0 but the sensible call is to go for over three goals where you get your stake back if there are exactly three.
