The Weekend Six Pack PLUS – With Aston Villa sauce and West Ham goals

Rob Hartnett of marks our card for the weekend action.

The midweek programme of Premier League games generated a profit of 15 per cent with Handicap winners in the shape of Wigan, Birmingham and West Ham as well as a correct score combination winner at Liverpool on and via twitter @Hartnettrob

This weekend could see the first outing in Blue for Fernando Torres but there are plenty of Premier League betting opportunities before that clash on Sunday afternoon.  We couldn’t narrow it down to six so this weekend is an eight pack. Inflation!

February 5th-6th

Sunderland to beat Stoke @ 3.80

Stoke have played six games against sides in the top six and have only one point to show from a possible 18.  Sunderland’s away form has been much stronger since gaining confidence by beating Chelsea and they have won their last two on the road.  The odds are just bigger than they should be.

Aston Villa to beat Fulham by one goal @ 3.10

Both sides are in much better form but Villa have won six and drawn two against sides below Fulham and have an edge that is not fully reflected in the price.  Six of their seven wins have been by one and six of Fulham’s eight losses have been by the same margin.

Everton (-1.5) to beat Blackpool @ 2.40

Everton have found goals of late with fourteen in their last five games.  Blackpool have only been outscored on the road by three teams but they have now lost seven of their last eight games and look very vulnerable.

Man City (-1.5) to beat West Brom @ 2.40

City are not free scoring at home but have the potential.  West Brom have only scored one in their last six away from the Hawthorns and have conceded either two or three goals in each of their last seven matches.

Arsenal (-1) away at Newcastle @ 2.20

Arsenal have only lost one of their last eleven games away at Newcastle and have scored seven in their last two visits.  They showed grit to bounce back against Everton in midweek and have scored four goals more away from home than any other side in the League. You win with a victory by two goals and get your stake back if the margin is one.

Wigan to beat Blackburn @ 2.55

Wigan have drawn too many games at home but Blackburn continue to struggle on the road.  Three away games in 2011 have been lost 2-0, 3-0 and 3-1 and they have lost eight of the eleven games since their last away draw,

Man United to win by one at Wolves @ 3.10

United have won eight and drawn two of their last ten games as their traditional ‘surge’ gathers momentum.  All three of their away wins this season have been by a single goal and with Wolves having held them to that margin already at Old Trafford the difference in the odds between this and a win by any score makes it worth a second look.

+2.5 Goals in West Ham Vs Birmingham @ 2.09

Birmingham’s four away games in 2011 have averaged four goals while their have been 29 in the last nine played by West Ham.  The sides have already met three times this season and each has had at least three goals.  A surprisingly big price.
