WIN: Manchester City training kits

It’s competition time on Just Football. As regular readers might remember, we recently published a special report from behind the scenes at Manchester City’s youth academy at Platt Lane. Well further to that, they’ve very kindly been in touch to offer us a giveaway for any budding footballers out there:

Manchester City’s online coaching academy www.cityecademy.com is offering a talented young footballer and a friend the opportunity to win an UMBRO training kit to help budding stars train and look like a pro.

Cityecademy allows talented young footballers to go behind the scenes at MCFC’s Platt Lane youth academy. MCFC has one of the world’s best training academies having created more International and first team players than any Premier League football club since it opened its doors in 1998.

Cityecademy puts the club’s first class coaching techniques right in the hands of young players and includes videos of drills and skills demonstrated by MCFC players and academy so that they can be replicated in the garden, playground as well as on the football pitch.

Register at www.cityecademy.com to receive automatic access to expert MCFC academy coaching online.

The training kits for a winner and their friend include – two t-shirts, two pairs of shorts, two sets of jogging bottoms as well as additional gear consisting of; two fleeces, two shower jackets, two match day jackets, two puffa jackets and two footballs to show off their skills!

To be in with a chance of winning the prize, just answer the following question:

In what year did MCFC’s acclaimed youth academy Platt Lane open?

a)      1998

b)      2008

c)       1988

Word of warning – the kits are for ages 11-18, so unless you are a particularly slender adult I’d recommend the kits for children / young adults only!

Please email your answers to just-football [at] live [dot] com with ‘MCFC competition’ in the subject line, or alternatively post your answer on our Facebook page here. Good luck!
