The Weekend Six Pack Plus – Quiet start at Emirates, Fiesta in Madrid

The Weekend Six Pack

Each week our betting columnist Rob Hartnett will bring you six bets from the weekend football action.  Rob is the public face of leading In Play betting specialists 188BET.com and appears regularly on the Bolton, Wigan, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Everton websites doing betting previews.  You can follow his thoughts on Twitter @HartnettRob

Another good ‘un last weekend with four winners for a 40 per cent profit.  Bolton, Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan all came good while the Villa United draw was obvious from a long way out, well the last minute at least.  This week we are going with another six pack plus to squeeze in tips from Germany and Spain as well as the Premier League.

Arsenal Vs Spurs -2.5 goals @ 2.30

The general view is that there will be goals but there have only been only 8 in last four meetings so value and form lies in the opposite direction.  At this stage last season the two sides had scored 68 goals, this time it is only 44.

Bolton Vs Newcastle +2.5 Goals @2.05

Newcastle have scored in their last seven games away from home since going down 3-0 to Man United on the opening day of the season.  In that period they have netted 13 times while Bolton have only kept one clean sheet in the League.  That may not matter as they have hit eight in their last three games and the odds are bigger than I would have expected for at least three goals at the Reebok.

Chelsea to beat Birmingham by 1-0 or 2-0 at combined odds of 3.60

Birmingham have only scored four goals in their last 13 meetings with Chelsea and have drawn a blank at home already this season to Liverpool, Wigan and Everton.  With Alex back in the Chelsea line-up they look more secure and with the result more important after last week than any fireworks, a low scoring win looks like value.

Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich to draw @ 3.50

Leverkusen have been stronger away and Bayern have only won once on the road so neither side is playing to its strength despite both being in good form.  Leverkusen have only lost one in ten, Bayern two, and with plenty at stake both sides can secure a point.

Liverpool West Ham Draw HT, Liverpool FT @ 4.30

Liverpool have won 8 of last 9 meetings against Hammers at Anfield but it’s worth noting that it is 12 games since West Ham lost by more than a single goal and that they have been level at the break in their last five games. Liverpool may take time to assert and this is a better value bet than chasing long odds on abot the home win.

Real Madrid -2 Vs Athletic Bilbao @ 2.06

Bilbao have taken one point from last four away games and have lost 11 of their last 12 at the Bernabeu conceding an average of over three goals.  Party time in Madrid.  We win with a three goal victory and money back if the margin is two.

Aston Villa to beat Blackburn @ 3.05

Villa have won 4 of last 5 at Ewood Park and have a 4-20 record against bottom half sides this season.  Blackburn have their supporters but have a 1-2-4 record against teams in the top half as Villa are.
