Introducing a new feature on Just Football - The Saturday Skills.

Here at Just Football we look at the game with as wide a lens as possible, bringing you anything from refereeing in Scotland to passionate derbies in Chile to administrative reform in Nigeria.

However, away from all the game’s complex issues – whether socio-political, structural or other – what is it that attracted us to the game of football in the first place? What was it that sucked us in as kids, that enthralled us, thrilled us and made us dream? If you were to ask me I would say it all ultimately boils down to this. A ball, a man (woman or child) and endless possibilities.

The tricks, the feints, the elaborate skills, the potential to conjure magic.

So, in a new feature, every week we’re going to provide you with The Saturday Skills – clips to make your jaw drop and your mind wonder ‘how did they do that?’

In week #1 of the Saturday Skills, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand and some other guy dazzle us with an array of tricks and skills filmed for Ferdinand’s online magazine #5. In fairness, the anonymous other guy is almost as impressive as Real Madrid’s number 7 himself, and probably better than Rio!
