Just Football – World Cup special podcast #2 – direct from Johannesburg!
On Episode 2 of the Just Football World Cup 2010 special podcast series we shoot live from Johannesburg, in some dingy backroom at our accommodation in the north of the city. And with the tournament starting imminently, we discuss our time in the city so far, as people here gear up for the tournament with rabid excitement, before moving onto an African football special show.
While in Episode #1 we spoke about the favourites – Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain and co, on this show we analyse the chasing pack. With 6 African teams at the World Cup on the African continent – how far can they go? We draft in another African football aficionado in Fatai B to discuss all the African teams.
We also discuss the outsiders – the likes of Portugal, France and the Dutch – and give a few tips on players to watch and the competition in general. All of this and more, shot direct from Johannesburg surrounded by chilly winds and, in the distance, the din of the vuvuzela. As always feedback much appreciated. Let the first ever World Cup on African soil commence!
