New Bayern Munich Home Kit 2010/2011
Champions League 2010 finalists Bayern Munich have unveiled their new home kit for the 2010/2011 season, and its a nice stripy number befitting of, potentially, European champions.
Manufactured by Adidas, hence featuring the white tricolor stripes down the shoulders, Bayern have gone for a red and white striped outfit to emulate a design they wore back in the 1970s – the 1972/1973 season to be precise.
I like it. The T-Mobile logo fits snugly into the design and is neither too over-powering nor garishly out of place (hello, Bolton Wanderers!). I’m generally a fan of the Adidas stripes anyway, but I think the way they’ve integrated their trademark into a retro design is also pretty well executed. Its neat, tidy and definitely Bayern.
Given the red and white colours for shirt and shorts it is perhaps a little odd they didn’t continue the theme through to the socks, going for black instead, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. And just look how happy Arjen Robben looks in them!
Overall I give it 8/10. Your rating?

Hmmmm….i dont know about this one, not a fan of the colour…and the socks completely ruined it. Still, if Arjen is happy in them, who cares about wot i think or about Ribery? He can take his whole lifetime to think about his commitment issues.
