Welcome to the new Just Football!

With more hype than a Ford Super Sunday, more fanfare than a football supporter at a theme park and to the sound of more trumpets than a Miles Davis concert we welcome you to the new and improved Just-Football.com.

The redesign has been a long time coming. Though the old style site was decent enough, there were several features and functions it simply could not do, which eventually prompted us to make the move to a new platform. This will allow for a lot greater ease of use and, we hope, improve your overall user experience of Just Football.

The site and its aims remain the same – to bring you the best in football news, analysis and opinion, and our focus will continue to be on world football – the game, the culture, the spectacle and the passion, from Arsenal to Hearts of Oak and from Pohang Steelers to Zamalek.

One major new development is the ability to increase the amount of contributors and authors on the site. With that a quick announcement – we are currently looking to add a handful of new writers for the site, specifically to cover individual country’s leagues across Europe and farther afield, and international teams participating at the World Cup. If you have a passion for football and a keen analytical eye and becoming a contributor to Just Football interests you send us an email at just-football [at] live [dot] com. Its a lot easier to sort out now so provided you pass the quality control test we’ll have you up and running almost immediately.

We really hope you like the newly designed Just-Football.com and we’d love to hear your thoughts on it, particularly if you experience any issues. Over the coming weeks we hope to be launching a host of new features too, while this week we have some special interviews lined up with leading bloggers at Europe’s top clubs. Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime I need to thank a few people for their valuable help and input while we went underground on this redesign:  Firstly, Justin at Justinsomnia, who was an absolute tour de force in dealing selflessly and patiently with my numerous technological queries. Evan Goldin for his random but extremely kind assistance through the wonder that is Twitter, Ian at twohundredpercent for his good advice, Mark McG, Mr Miles T for his contacts and all-round knowledge, Andre Barrett for his design skills and Mr. Mohamed Nawari for putting up with my often stinky chat and providing a much needed soundboard. You guys are all great.
