I´m not much into football, but with the WC on, one can hardly miss it.

When I read that Fabio Capello earns FIVE MILLION POUNDS p/a I couldn´t believe it! Has the world gone mad?!?!?!? FIFA has – completely off their collective rocker! Even if he was the best coach in the world and England won the WC – nobody is worth that amount of money. No wonder the vast majority of football clubs are in debt, if they are taking their salary leads from FIFA.

You’re right of course, Mourinho is the highest paid coach in the world is he not?

Still, all this is nothing compared to the players.

And when you think about it, teams like Bayern and Inter and coaches like Van Gaal and Mourinho have shown this season that in many ways the coach can be as important if not more important than the players…

Yeah… nice article and yes, Capello is a man to lend u a dime, but look at the club managers’ salaries – they are just crazy, Mourinho earns some 30% more than Capello…

This is complete nonsense. The New Zealand manager Ricki Herbert gets about 1 sixth of the salary of the nigerian managers 180 000. (if that is true)
