Geoff - you make some good points, particularly about Portugal being a key game for the Ivory Coast.

My stance has softened on the draw slightly after the initial disappointment and frustration at seeing Ivory Coast get such a difficult task. Instead I now think of the words of WWE's Ric Flair:

'To be the best, you gotta beat the best!'

I don't think Ivory Coast should be going into this group with any fear at all to be honest. The key fixture I believe will be the one against Portugal. If they win that, and I see no reason why they couldn't, then they have agreat chance of getting out of the gróup. Shame they'd probably have to play Spain in the next round! Likewise I think Ghana and Cameroon shouldn't have anything to fear. They're capable of getting results against any of the opponents they've been drawn against. I worry about Nigeria (I've got a feeling Greece will nick 2nd), Algeria and the hosts.

Ade...what odds did you get?! ;-)

The Super Eagles are probably the worst of the 3 African teams you mention, but ironically thanks to the draw I think they now have the best chance of any of them to make it to the second round and perhaps beyond.

Argentina are a tough prospect of course but I think Nigeria could get a result against both South Korea and Greece - two very organised sides but not blessed with genuinely great individual talent.

Ghana's group is much tougher I feel, while Cote d'Ivoire really got screwed over. Like 2006 all over again.

Yes... i think Ivory coast will have a tough matches.. it really depends on their defence standing... mid-field supplying drogba.. and kalou to wake up!! The Ghanaians were good last time.. just let down by their shooting power.... absolutely no faith at all in the superdeagles..
As for england... get theo walcott fit quickly!! without him i think england will struggle.. i can see a red card for rooney( in fact i'm off to betting shop now!)
