Photo, Shoot: Ricardo Kaka & AC Milan – The Good Times

Tonight Ricardo Kaka will play against his former club AC Milan for the first time since leaving to join Real Madrid in the summer. During his six year stint in Milan, Kaka became both an indispensable member of the squad and an idol to the fans, as demonstrated by the widescale protests held by Milan supporters when the club agreed to sell him to Manchester City back in January 2009.

Though Kaka held firm and turned City down the saga spelt the beginning of the end of the close relationship between the Brazilian playmaker and AC Milan, and for €68.5 million Euros he eventually left Italy in June to become part of Florentino Perez’s galacticos project at Real Madrid.

This Photo, Shoot special takes a look at one of Kaka’s finest moments in a Milan shirt – the Champions League final 2007 in Athens, when his magic inspired the club to a 2-1 win over Liverpool and their 7th European Cup crown.
