I'm not too au fait with Smeltz but I'll certainly keep an eye out. He didn't show anything against Spain, but then it's probably not a great idea to judge him on that game given the calibre of the opposition. <br /><br />As for Akram he was one I was actually going to mention. A player with superb ability. It was a scandal the Home Office did not allow him a work permit. Hopefully we'll get to see more of him in the Champions League with FC Twente though.
